Hyderabad Karnataka Special Cell


Hyderabad Karnataka has been given special status by adding Article 371J to the Constitution of India. This will help alleviate regional imbalances, with emphasis on reservation in the development of Hyderabad Karnataka, reservation in public employment and access to educational institutions. In this regard, the Karnataka Public Employment (Reservation in Appointment for  Hyderabad Karnataka Region) Order, 2013 and the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Regulations of Adminission in the Hydrabad-Karnataka Region) Order, 2013 and the Karnataka Private Unaided Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission in the Hyderabad-Karnatka Region)Order, 2013 have been issued. Reservation in admissions in educational institutions for the benefit of Indigenous persons in Karnataka for employment in the public sector and for enhancing the capacity of Indigenous persons to seek employment. The six districts of Hyderabad-Karnataka division - Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadagiri, Raichur, Koppal, Bellary and other districts - are being developed.
